Born in North Queensland, Australia.
Educated in Dublin, Ireland, participating in the Irish National Science Exhibition in three consecutive years of high school.
Damian is from a large family of four sisters, three brothers and hard working parents.
He returned to Australia aged 18 and later completed an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at James Cook University, Townsville, QLD.
His childhood love of wildlife, shared with close friends in Ireland, was rekindled while bringing up his own two children in North Queensland.
A strong interest in travel lead to visiting a number of European and South American cities plus Dubai and Istanbul. He has also visited all Australian States and Territories.

Damian owns and operates a small business (Townsville Guesthouse) and also works as a contract engineer. He has two teenage children, a wonderful partner and enjoys dance, photography, pool, writing and is a wildlife carer with his daughter, Tara.
